The Mediterranean Games in Almería
in 2005 is a sporting event of great importance. 23 countries and 4,000
sportsmen and women will take part in it, along with thousands of people
who will look after many other aspects so that the Games can take place:
Judges and referees, officers, delegates, journalists, etc.
We all want the XV celebration of these
Games to be a success. But, to achieve this goal, the participation of
the Almerian society through its support to the Organising Committee for
the Mediterranean Games Almería 2005 (COJMA 2005) and to the different
institutions and entities that are a part of it, is needed.
The greatest demonstration of this popular
support will be the volunteers of Almería 2005. Without them and
without their collaboration and effort, the Mediterranean Games could
not take place. Attention to sportsmen and women and to the Mediterranean
family, as well as the functioning of the installations, the running of
the competitions, the information to the public, etc, will largely depend
on the volunteers' good work.
Therefore, if you were born before 1 June
1987 and are aware of what the Mediterranean Games mean to your town,
the time has come for you to make up your mind and join us.
