Almería is facing up the greatest challenge of its history ever. The XV Mediterranean Games will start on 24 June 2005 and will finish on 3 July. The Organising Committee for the Mediterranean Games Almería 2005 has made a sports events programme and schedule with 24 sports. The city of Almería will play host to the competitions, along with six other municipalities where sports subvenues will be found. Another two towns will be cultural venues. Sportsmen and women will be staying at the Meditarranean Villa built by the sea.
